Warehouse Manager

As a Warehouse Manager for a frozen food distribution company, you will play a critical role in overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse facility. You will be responsible for managing a team of 10 employees, ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating shipments and adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Your leadership and organizational skills will be essential in optimizing productivity and meeting customer demands.

The role requires strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of food safety regulations and cold storage technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Management:

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of 10 warehouse employees.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring proper delegation and workload distribution.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

 Inventory Management:

• Oversee the receiving, storing, and dispatching of meat and seafood products.
• Implement inventory control measures to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to manage inventory turnover and meet customer demand.

 Operational Efficiency:

• Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures.
• Monitor productivity metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Streamline workflow to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational costs.

 Quality Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
• Implement and enforce hygiene and sanitation protocols to maintain product integrity.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality issues promptly.

Health and Safety:

• Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance within the warehouse.
• Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions and inspections to mitigate risks.

 Customer Service:

• Collaborate with the customer service team to fulfill orders accurately and on time.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to warehouse operations.
• Strive to exceed customer expectations by providing exceptional service and support.

 Equipment Maintenance:

• Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
• Schedule routine inspections and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure functionality.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and repairs as needed.

SALARY RANGE: $25.00 - $30.00 / hour

REQUIREMENTS:

- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the food distribution industry.

- Food Storage or Handling experience required.

- 2-4 years of employee management experience required

- Knowledge of Food safety regulations and sanitation standards.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.

- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.

- Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office suite.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field a plus.

- Forklift certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations (preferred).
