Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for a full-time position within school districts in the Las Vegas, New Mexico area. Candidates must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this opportunity.
Requirements:
- Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid New Mexico State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience in school settings is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of local and state regulations governing speech-language pathology practices in educational environments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students speech and language needs.
- Provide therapy sessions to students individually or in small groups, focusing on various communication goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students communication skills in academic and social settings.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students educational plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records.
