**Overview**

**The Role and Team**

**This position is working 17.5 hours per week, any 5 in 7 days including bank holidays**

Our drivers are the face of our business and their interaction with our customers is crucial to our success. As such, you will enjoy meeting people and always be willing to go above and beyond what is expected.

Our service runs 7 days a week, 365 days per year delivering hot meals over lunchtime to some of the most vulnerable in society, cooked en-route in our innovative Chefmobil vehicles.

We truly care about all our customers so there will be a requirement for our driver to carry out a basic safety and well-being check along with plating up and serving our food to customers when required.

There will also be a requirement to provide holiday cover for other members of the team.

**Responsibilities**

* Make deliveries in a timely manner

* Delivering exceptional customer service at all times

* Report any noticeable changes in the wellbeing of the customer

* Report any no replies

* Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays

* Undertake pre-shift inspection of your van

* Ensuring your vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition

* Drive safely, responsibly and within the law

* Clean and refuel your van as and when needed

* Ensure customer confidentiality

* Growing the rounds by finding new customers

* Participate in team meetings and training

* Assist the team if another member of the team is absent or on holiday

* Collect payments

**About you**

**Essential:**

* Experience within a customer service-based role

* Full UK Manual Driving Licence

* Basic computer literacy and phone apps

* Evidence of work stability

* Basic secondary education

**Desirable:**

* Experience of multi-drop delivery role

* Experience within a care-based role

* Health & Safety awareness

**Personal Qualities**

* Friendly, approachable and reliable

* Passionate about delivering excellent customer service

* Good attendance and timekeeping

* Calm under pressure

* Flexible

**You must have held manual driving licence for at least 3 years**

As this role involves working with elderly and vulnerable customers, it is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
