Job Summary:
An established private family seeks to hire an experienced, professional, and reliable Houseman / Driver to join their household team
The position requires flexibility in providing support between two residences, one in the Upper East Side, NY, and the main estate in Great Neck, NY
The hired individual must have experience in hospitality services (hotel or private) as well as experience providing transportation services to former employers.
The position requires flexibility in providing support between two residences, one in the Upper East Side, NY, and the main estate in Great Neck, NY
The hired individual must have experience in hospitality services (hotel or private) as well as experience providing transportation services to former employers.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the principals and estate manager
- Driving safely all principals, family, and guests
- Occasionally driving the household staff as needed
- Provide occasional support to the housekeeping team: Maintain household including clothing, linens, furniture, framed photographs, storage areas, etc
apprising principal and manager of any necessary repairs that may be needed - Assist with serving meals and drinks for special dinners or events
- Following all family protocols and procedures
- Providing great hospitality service to all principals and guests
- Run errands, receive deliveries, handle service calls
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
- Previous experience in hospitality (hotel, restaurant or private homes)
- Outstanding references from both current and previous employers
- A superb command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Excellent computer skills; including Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet, and e-mail
- Professional, polished, and poised at all times
- Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
- Ability to work independently and on a large team of staff
- Flexibility to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs
- Must have valid US work authorization
- Valid driver’s license
