Soldering Technician

Staffmark is hiring for a Soldering Technician in Plano, TX, where you will be working for a global electronics maker. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Pay: $17 per hour

The Soldering Technician will be responsible for upgrading or reworking customer returns and production modules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs soldering on PCBs and other parts for all assigned units according to written instructions and drawings.
• May be required to remove parts and re-solder onto units.
• Maintains inventory of components used in the upgrade and rework process.
• Ensures that equipment is upgraded within 48 hours.
• Must comply with all established safety and ESD procedures while performing assignments.
• Maintains clean work area according to department standards.

Requirements: High school degree or equivalent, soldering certification preferred, copper soldering experience, 2-3 years of previous electronics repair experience to include SMT soldering, experience handling, reworking, tracking, and inspecting lead-free PCB assemblies, demonstrated experience with the ability to read and understand work instructions and drawings, good English reading and speaking skills, effective time management skills and a high attention to detail required, sit and bend over for long periods while using a soldering and microscope or magnifying instruments, good vision, stand, reach, have hand dexterity, ability to distinguish colors, and lift up to 50 pounds.
