The Macon plant was built in 1967. It manufactures egg cartons, lunch trays, and shake trays. The Macon plant has approximately 218 employees. Macon was awarded World-Class Safety in  2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Macon also received the Operational Performance Plant of the year in 2015 and 2016 and Food Plant of the Year in 2016. The Macon plant has recently reached out to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank and will be collecting canned and dried goods for the less fortunate.

 

 

Responsibilities:

The MRO Inventory Administrator is responsible for managing MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) inventory, contracts and services with suppliers, monitoring and reporting departmental spending and accounting functions.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

The primary job duties and responsibilities are:

  • Maintains inventory levels for MRO materials.
  • Prepares weekly reports for the plant manager and controller on all expenditures.
  • Participates in the selection of new suppliers.
  • Reviews and manager contracts and service reports for suppliers.
  • Coordinates activities within the local MRO group.
  • Utilizes OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) documentation, historical data and technical support to source parts as required to support the plant.
  • Maintains accurate records of inventory and cost as required by a public company.
  • Maintains effective communication of inventory for special projects.
  • Always follow all safety requirements & GMP.
  • Maintains neatness of area outside of storeroom and related areas, clear all stock items out of hallway within 24 hours.
  • Trains and develop resources to support local MRO group.
  • Provides effective leadership, communication, and feedback to direct reports.
  • Communicates and schedule service providers to support plant operations.
  • Performs contractor safety training and permits.
  • Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
  • Maintains excellent safety record.
  • Maintains excellent attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Experience

  • At least five (5) years of inventory management experience.
  • At least three (3) years of SAP experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.

 

Skills

  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Effective and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Proficient in understanding buyer systems.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, preferred).
  • Effective communicate both verbally and written with internal associates and external suppliers.
  • Organization.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Computer saavy.

 

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:

  • Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
  • Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
  • Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)
  • Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)
  • Must be available for on-call requests.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates/BA/BS in Business Administration or related field or equivalent, preferred.
