Registered Dietitian 3 (Schools)

Unit Description:

Sodexo is seeking two experienced Registered Dietitians for Fort Worth Independent School District in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of School Nutrition experience with a strong knowledge of the National School Lunch Program guidelines.  This is a fulltime, year-round position.

These are projected openings and contingent offers will be made.

The successful candidate will:

• be responsible for menu planning and nutritional analysis;
• be responsible for special diets required by the district and work closely with school nurses, students and families;  
• work with nutrition issues related to food allergies, weight management and disordered eating patterns and other medical issues requiring meal selection assistance;
• provide direction for planning strategic goals, standards of the brand and maintaining effective communication with other managers and inter-department liaisons;
• establish and execute Client and Sodexo operating standards;
• maintain and develop client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services; and
• stay current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

• are a Registered Dietitian with TX license;
• have knowledge of USDA regulations and processes as related to the National School Lunch Program;
• have a least 3 years of school nutrition experience;
• show proven history of working as a self-starter, with strong demonstrated ability to work independently;
• have a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas to implement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
