A growing team of board-certified Veterinary Pathologists, as well as over 75 laboratory technicians, are employed in support of our unified international commitment to quality, scientific integrity and client satisfaction. 

StageBio is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician III to join our Mount Jackson, Virginia facility.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform all aspects of the histology process; working with all species of laboratory animals and occasionally with human tissue
  • Review of protocols and study instructions
  • Operate laboratory equipment necessary to support the histology process
  • Demonstrate proficiency in five or more technical areas
  • Understand and conduct all processes in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Prompt and accurate recording of data
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn multiple tasks within the field of histology
  • Ability and willingness to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be capable of understanding FDA regulations, Good Laboratory Practices and StageBio’s SOPs
  • Be very detail-oriented with both routine lab tasks and paperwork
  • Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Education:

  • High school diploma required
  • College degree preferred or 3 years’ experience in histology/pathology lab
