Job Summary
The Poolside (Cabana) Massage Therapist is responsible for providing guests with comprehensive and professional massage, baths, and body therapies. Must have the ability to perform services using proper draping techniques, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism at all times. Also responsible for providing poolside guests with guidance/recommendations regarding spa procedures, services and products. Must be outgoing, high-energy and have excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, while maintaining a high level of customer service standards. Scheduling, dependability, and flexibility are a must.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and abide by Trilogy and Well & Being Spa policies and procedures.
  • Provide guests with a thorough and knowledgeable spa service.
  • Performs exceptional, courteous, friendly customer service to guests, providing introductory poolside spa services, including, but not limited to, light hand, foot, and scalp massages, lotion application, and facial spritz, as well as promoting and performing cabana massage services.
  • Provides accurate, up-to-date information, promoting Well & Being Spa services, fitness classes, and amenities, products, and special promotions.
  • Promote and up-sell products and services to poolside guests.
  • Setup and break down of designated treatment area with the highest respect of fellow co-workers by maintaining neat and well-stocked work areas.
  • Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests needs with a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Interact cooperatively with, and with consideration towards guests and co-workers.
  • Anticipate guests needs and adhere to Well & Being Spa and Trilogys standards for guest service, including FORBES 5 Star Standards.
  • Ensures all guests are wearing face masks and are compliant with all current hotel COVID requirements, at all times.
  • Ensures proper social distancing by spacing groups of guests not traveling together at least six feet apart.
  • Comply with the facilitation of all PPE and sanitation standards by TRILOGY and the State Governing Body.
  • Maintain safety, sanitation and disinfection standards.
  • Communicates guest problems or complaints to the Spa Manager on Duty.
  • Decisions of a broad nature are made in accordance with general policy and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have current State Board approved License/Certificate to practice in Puerto Rico.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Preferably at least 1-3 years experience in a Massage Therapist position, preferably in a hotel/resort.
  • Must have an approachable, customer service-oriented personality, as position requires making spa/product recommendations and promoting/selling of products and services.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor conditions (poolside and cabana).
  • Knowledge of Massage Theory, Anatomy, and Physiology.
  • Must have a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, and must be available on an "On Call" basis, if needed.
  • Must be outgoing, high-energy, polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English and Spanish.

Compensation: 15% Service Commission vs hourly + Service Charge + Retail Commission
