Job Description

Position Summary: Stretto is seeking a Call Center Associate to join our Corporate Restructuring team in Irvine, CA. In this role, the Call Center Associate will support communication for the case teams and help administer large and complex Chapter 11 Corporate Restructuring cases.

The Call Center Associate will take direction from their manager and will assist with calls, emails, and various tasks to support the case teams. More specifically, this individual will be responsible for understanding Chapter 11 procedures, our case websites, and other case specific information in order to communicate to creditors, vendors, and other pertinent callers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Interact with case teams and management for information on assigned cases
  • Interact with various creditors, vendors, customers
  • Familiarize and seek updated information for each case
  • Research and understand general case information from public case websites
  • Review court filings and updated claim information such as modifications, approvals, extensions, and motions to understand case status changes
  • Provide support to creditors by responding to inquiries received via phone, email, chat, and/or mail, related to basic case and process information accurately and timely
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls and de-escalate situations involving dissatisfied callers/creditors.
  • Guide creditors and other callers through troubleshooting, navigating company/case sites, and filing claims, as needed
  • Collaborate in a team environment to improve communication services
  • Submit and maintain call logs for reporting purposes as necessary
  • Other projects or tasks as needed

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Call center and customer service experience preferred
  • Legal and or bankruptcy experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Great active listening skills with patient, empathetic attitude
  • Exceptional interpersonal and rapport building skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Phone and computer literacy including familiarity with multi-line phone systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions, consistent with federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Might be exposed to prolonged sedentary hours of work and use of computer.

The hourly pay range for this role is currently $22.50 - $24.50. The Company’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of various factors, including job-related skills, relevant education and experience, abilities of the applicant and equity with other team members. The hourly base salary range listed here is subject to change at any time, at the Company’s discretion, and does not alter in any way the at-will nature of the employment relationship.
