MBS hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Manager near Dry Ridge, KY. Our client is a global automotive manufacturing industry supplier.
You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the manufacturing processes within the company. You are responsible for overseeing and managing the engineering activities within the manufacturing facility, ensuring that products are produced to meet quality standards, production schedules, and cost objectives. You are a key member of the management team and collaborate with various departments to improve manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and overall plant expenses.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
  • Develop or adjust production methods to meet quality and ergonomic standards.
  • Monitor and improve the machine up-time on all major pieces of equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize production output.
  • Plan PM requirements for all main tooling and equipment and monitor system to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Define critical spare parts for all equipment and perform corresponding inventory controls.
  • Assist with Safety and Environmental compliance for the production facility.
  • Support to complete capital projects which also includes plant facility projects.
  • Build strong vendor relationships that can be utilized to support projects and improve plant operations.
  • Ensure that the facility is maintained and in compliance with all regulatory bodies.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles within the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical acumen.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve common goals.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
