Job Description
1. The Elbow Room is our fine dining, a la carte restaurant. Serving dinner by reservation only Tuesday through Saturday.
2. The 55th Hole - Grill Room is our casual, faster paced a la carte dining room. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
3. Our Aquatics Center provides poolside and cabana food and beverage service 7 days a week from Mid-May through Labor Day.
4. Our Banquets team is responsible for putting on the best events for our members and guests. From weddings, showers, birthday parties to wine dinners, holiday extravaganzas and golf outings, our banquet bartenders' schedule varies based on the scheduled events.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Bartenders will provide timely, accurate and friendly bar service to our members and guests. This is a fast-paced position that involves constant interaction with patrons. The Bartender will maintain a warm, friendly environment creating a world class dining experience.

Essential Functions:
- Interact with members, guests, and fellow employees in a respectful and professional manner.
- Accurately describe and answer questions regarding the menu items, specials, drinks, etc.
- Assess the patrons’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Take orders and accurately enter in the “Point of Sale” system for transmittal to kitchen staff.
- Check patrons’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
- Graciously prepare drinks for servers to serve to patrons.
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages for patrons using measuring methods and tools provided.
- Mix, garnish, and serve beverages according to club standards.
- Gracefully present, open, and serve bottles of wine in a professional manner.
- Communicate any issues with food service to the managers in a timely manner.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory, supplies, fruit/garnishes, etc.
- Change beer kegs and handles.
- Keep areas clean and organized, including bar, soda room, liquor cage, receiving dock, and walk-in fridge.
- Clean and sanitize ice wells in accordance with the mandated cleaning schedule.
- Assist in accurately conducting inventories and maintaining the correct number of supplies.
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to manager.
- Set up and break down of events, which may include moving bars, alcohol, and glasses, carrying trays, arranging, and cleaning the bar areas.
- Polish and restock glasses for the next shift.
- Work effectively with fellow employees and other departments to support and maintain a level of excellence in food and beverage service for members and guests.
- Assist in opening and closing duties for each shift and occasionally re-arrange dining set-ups (buffets, displays, etc.)
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations and Fiddlers Elbow policies
- Comply with all food and beverage procedures for handling and storing in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Abide by New Jersey and township laws regarding serving of minors and visibly intoxicated patrons.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Required Education/Experience:
- High School Graduate
- Minimum 6 months related experience
Required Qualifications:
- TIPS certified preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members and guests
- Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Must possess the ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain excellent service standards
- Must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry trays/objects weighing up 30+ pounds through a crowded room
- Ability to handle many tasks at once
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe and lift to perform job functions
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
- Must be able to work day and/or night hours, occasional long hours, weekends and holidays
Safety Hazards:
- General food and beverage environment with some exposure to heat from cooking areas
- Lifting of heavy objects such as kegs, cases of beer, bottled water, Gatorades etc.,
