Individual will have an understanding of how to interpret drawings & specifications of all product(s) being fabricated, including knowledge of where & how to work specific items is preferred, company is willing to train the right applicant. Individual will ensure production process is trouble free, check for accuracy of the finished product against blueprints. Possess math skills for the purpose of calculating materials for fabricating. May perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description -

Welding
• Hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such flux-cored arc, shielded metal arc and submerged arc welding.
• Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Recognize, set up, and operates hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
• Position, align, and secure multiple parts using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.

Applicant should have a working knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Problem solving abilities pertaining to all welding functions and be able to determine the appropriate tools and equipment needed to do a job.

The ability to see details at close range while doing all job functions. Individual will also need the ability to make precise coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. Must be able to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted, use controlled mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes not including computers or vehicles as directed. Individual must observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources before starting a project and perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials in a safe and effective manner.
