We currently have an immediate opening for a Catering & Service Manager:

Summary: Under direct supervision of the General Manager, this position is responsible for proactively soliciting and booking group sales through prospecting with outside calls, cold calling, trade shows and referrals for Unicoi State Park and Lodge. The main function of this position is to detail and complete group contracts, plan and organize weddings as well as administrative functions.

It is preferred that the candidate have hospitality such as food and beverage and/or hotel experience in order to complete this position sucessfully.

Essential Functions:

• Establish a client base through direct outside sales efforts to secure business for the lodge and ensure sales goals are met
• Negotiate room rates, meeting room rental and lodge services within approved booking guidelines
• Negotiate contracts ensuring all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and actively up-sell each business opportunity to maximize lodge profit
• Manage sales activities for market segment and ensure business is turned over promptly and timely for proper service delivery in accordance with brand standards
• Attend and participate in daily stand up and weekly sales meetings
• Weekly reporting of sales efforts and bookings
• Communicate with all lodge departments to insure professional execution of all group commitments
• Deliver excellent customer service in an efficient manner
• Perform other duties as requested by Management
