HR Intern

At The Arc of the Quad Cities Area, we are looking for a current student pursuing a degree in HR or a related field!

We seek an HR Intern to join the Arc of the Quad Cities Area team. The role's responsibilities include conducting phone screens and in-person interviews with potential applicants, participating in interviews with HR Specialists, and completing reference checks and necessary background checks for new applicants as required by the state of Illinois or The Arc of the Quad Cities Area.

Additionally, the HR Intern will assist with new hire orientation and preparation by preparing new hire folders, ensuring supplies are ready for orientation, and maintaining employee files with ongoing filing as needed. They will also collaborate with the Recruiter and Employee Experience Manager to complete various HR reports, making this role an integral part of the HR team at The Arc of the Quad Cities Area.

The ideal candidate for this position should be currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university focusing on human resources, management, or a related field. Furthermore, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to interact professionally with others, as effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential in this role.
