Job Title: E-Commerce Finance Specialist

Position Summary: 


The E-commerce Finance Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the financial and operational aspects of our direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms as well as our retail accounts. This position will be responsible for overseeing marketplace reporting, order processing, inventory management, and financial reconciliation. The specialist will work closely with various e-commerce platforms, such as Amazon, BigCommerce, and others, to ensure seamless operations and optimal financial performance.


Core Responsibilities: (Applicant/Employee must perform these functions, with or without accommodations.)


  • Coordinate with the Accounting Department for needed data, reports and payables
  • Generate and analyze marketplace reports to track sales performance and identify trends
  • Reconcile daily transactions and ensure accurate financial records
  • Manage disputes and claims with e-commerce platforms and retailers, such as Amazon, BigCommerce, Walmart, Ace Hardware, ect.
  • Process and correct EDI  Documents for seamless order processing
  • Maintain and manage credit card processor access, including handling inquiries and maintenance
  • Reconcile Amazon payouts and manage inventory adjustments
  • Conduct audits of invoiced inventory for accuracy
  • Receive and process remittance advice, credit memos, and check details from e-commerce platforms and retailers
  • Close out batches and ensure all transactions are accounted for
  • Coordinate with e-commerce platforms, retailers, tools, consultants, reps and media for invoice forwarding and collection
  • Perform costing analysis to optimize pricing strategies
  • Maintain certificates of insurance and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Assist with onboarding new e-commerce platforms and retailers, including ACH setup, COI management, and terms setup
  • Process credit applications for customers and manage credit card processing on sales orders
  • Send invoices to certain customers and conduct payment audits for e-commerce platforms and retailers
  • Analyze payment breakdowns from e-commerce platforms and retailers; reconcile discrepancies


Qualifications:


  • Strong understanding of e-commerce processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with EDI transactions and e-commerce platforms (e.g., BigCommerce).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
