Job Summary:

Supplies raw material and a variety of routine support for the operation of injection molding machines. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, delivers, and removes resins and material related equipment to support the production schedule.
  • May drive spotter truck to move trailers.
  • Supports and performs resin changeovers as required.
  • Uses equipment to regrind parts.
  • Moves, labels, stores, and transacts parts accurately.
  • Determines the material needs of the production floor and reacts accordingly to ensure all machinery has enough material to maintain operations.
  • Ensure timely shipment of customer orders and materials.
  • Monitors merchandise receiving reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Initiates and performs physical reconciliation of scheduled inventories.
  • Prepares and packs outgoing customer orders.
  • Prepares necessary documents for domestic and international shipments, including labels, bills of lading, and gathering all the necessary documents.
  • Stores and maintains raw materials for manufacturing operations (includes inventory control).
  • Records all outgoing and and incoming goods and material from suppliers and manufacturing.
  • Identifies and stores the goods and material in the correct location.
  • Cleans and maintains warehouse and manufacturing areas.
  • Controls, maintains, and records scrap.
  • Adheres to safety policies and strives to maintain our outstanding safety record.
  • Keeps work area, tools, supplies, and equipment clean and organized.
  • Cleans, checks, and sets up material dryers, feeders, and/or loaders as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical mindset, reasoning abilities and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to take direction and communicate as well as complete all documentation.
  • Ability to follow a schedule and adhere to safety as well as quality standards.
  • Good training and leadership skills; team oriented. Highly motivated.
  • Have some technical skill and LOTO training.
  • Understanding of dryer and material system.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Computer experience with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions.
  • Successful completion of Forklift certification.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience as Operator I, II, or III (or prior external experience).
  • Prior forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.).
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Requires manual dexterity.
  • Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and kneeling
  • Possibility of exposure to noise, uncontrolled temperatures, and chemicals.
  • Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment.
  • Frequently moves from waist level to floor level.
