Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Receptionist
Location: North Philadelphia
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for parents and visitors, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the daycare center. The ideal candidate will be friendly, efficient, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. This position is temp-to-hire and requires a resume and interview for consideration.
Work Schedule: 7am-4:30pm OR 8am-5:30pm (discretion of the manager)
Compensation: $16.00 - $17.50
Responsibilities:
  • Greet parents, children, and visitors warmly and professionally, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly and courteously, addressing inquiries and providing information as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, enrollment, and payments using daycare management software.
  • Assist with enrollment paperwork and registration processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Coordinate with daycare staff to ensure smooth transitions for children entering and leaving the center.
  • Assist with billing and invoicing tasks, including collecting payments and processing financial transactions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in office administration or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative assistant role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with daycare management software is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with parents, children, and staff.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
