Be the difference! Jersey Mike's in Sugar Land Texas is looking for a Team Member to work Full Time/Part Time with great compensation $9-$11 per hour, plus over $2 per hour in tips.

Each Team Member is responsible for ensuring a superb dining experience for each and every Jersey Mike's customer. As a Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing the freshest and best tasting subs in the world! You'll also exhibit care in all aspects of customer service, food preparation and store cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Exhibiting the 5 Core Values of 1836 Foods: Integrity, Initiative, Quality, Teamwork, and Servant Leadership
• Setting the example for new teammates on how to care for and serve customers.
• Preparing Jersey Mike's highest quality Submarine Sandwiches throughout the day for in-store, online, and pickup customers.
• Ringing orders out on the cash register. Taking orders by phone. Filling and inspecting online orders.
• Promoting cooperative effort, a team spirit, and positive morale among the team.
• Delivering excellent customer service.
• Performing daily check lists and periodic checks for safety of equipment and to ensure that food is cooked and stored properly; notifying the General Manager, Assistant Manager or Shift Leader promptly if an issue is ever discovered.
• Participating in all team training.
• Properly labeling and putting away food deliveries.
• Learning to serve in all roles on the team (such as vegetable preparation, cookie and bread baking, slicing subs, sprinkling and wrapping subs, grilling hot subs, cashier, and daily cleaning).
• Informing customers about 1836 Foods' local community charity efforts and and Jersey Mike's national charity campaigns.
• Growing your own personal talents each and every day that you didn't know were possible!

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Demonstration of sufficient reading and math skills to read check lists and participate in on-the-job training.
• Previous restaurant experience not required; but positive attitude and initiative is required!
• Excellent customer service to treat patrons like family.
• Strong communication skills to work within a team and keep your leaders informed about our customers, food preparation and store cleanliness.
• Willingness to learn and grow daily!
