Clean Scapes is looking for exceptionally talented
Arbor Crew Member. The opportunity is perfect for someone
with the following responsibilities/skills:

SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position performs tree care activities such as pruning and removing trees, chipping tree debris, air spading, root pruning, brush clearing and stump grinding. Tree care is performed to increase public safety, protect client property, and to promote the health and longevity of the trees. This position is responsible for following safe work practices and following the direction of the Crew Leader. The Crew Member reports to the Arbor Department Manager but takes direction for daily tasks from the Crew Leader. Crew members represent Clean Scapes and must present themselves in a professional manner, in both behavior and appearance.

ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in the work of a tree crew; efficiently and effectively perform work according to direction of crew leader
• Perform tree maintenance activities such as pruning or removing trees using chainsaws and hand saws, and a combination of climbing using rope and saddle, hydraulic aerial lift or work from ladders
• Fell trees, haul tree debris and grind stumps
• Clear shrubs and other brush around trees using brush cutters and chainsaws
• Respond to emergency calls to remove damaged sections or entire trees
• Maintain, inspect, and safely operate a variety of equipment such as hand and power saws, wood chippers, blowers, hedge trimmers, brush cutters, compressors and stump grinders
• Communicate concerns about tree health or potential hazard to property and public safety to crew lead
• Strictly adhere to safety procedures including the use of hard hats, safety glasses and the inspection of tools and equipment
• Assist crew lead with routine equipment maintenance and vehicle/equipment inspections
• Communicate needs, deficiencies or concerns to Crew leader
• Work in a multicultural work place with diverse customers, emphasizing communication for cooperation and collaboration

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• 1 yr experience in the tree care industry, involving a combination of the following: Use of safety harnesses, climbing equipment, aerial hydraulic lifts, rigging, chain saws, chippers as well as the application of arboricultural practices, proper pruning methods, and related safety.
• Experience working on commercial properties or along high-volume corridors where pedestrian and traffic control measures are required for safe work operations
LICENSES+CERTIFICATIONS
Driver License Preferred
ISA Certified Arborist or Certified Tree Worker Preferred
