Harney District Hospital of Burns, OR is looking to hire a part-time Cook to join the Dietary Team. This part-time position will work approximately 24 hours per week, and the hourly wage starts at $15.76 and increases based on experience. We also offer exceptional part-time benefits. Established in Burns, Oregon in 1920, we are the only critical access hospital that serves residents living in rural communities spread across the 10,000 square miles of beautiful Harney County. We also run a family care clinic and are about to open a specialty care clinic. JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques and food safety requirements, basic math skills, general record keeping methods, ability to read and write in English language. Equivalent to a high school education, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES: Must possess Oregon Foodhandler's card within 30 days of appointment.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Previous cooking experience in an institutional or similar environment. Possession of Oregon Foodhandler's card at time of appointment. Knowledge of basic computer skills, or ability to learn.

WORK SCHEDULE

The position will work approximately 24-hours per week, and may include weekends and evenings.
