Waste Water Technician

Job Title:                        Wastewater Technician
Classification:                  Non-Exempt
Department:                    Environmental, Health & Safety
Reports to:                     EHS Supervisor
Purpose:
Operate and maintain all Wastewater (Outside System and Treatment Building).  Monitoring UFOs, EP Water Softeners and Cooling Towers. 
General Duties:

• Responsible for operating and maintain the Wastewater Treatment Building and Outside System
• Responsible for maintaining chemicals.
• Monitor water quality compliance from UFOs, EP Wastewater Discharge and Cooling Tower
• Collect data on Systems and perform specific checks
• Investigate all issues and determine root cause of failure
• Perform periodic replacements as needed
• Report findings to Engineering when necessary
• Provide detailed pass downs to the incoming shift
• Help in maintaining inventory for department to perform accurate repairs.
• Maintain good safe working practices.
• Organize and maintain work areas for a good 5S.
• Perform all duties necessary in creating an efficient, effective, and affordable Wastewater department.
• Will perform other functions as required

Requirements:

• 1 Year Industrial Maintenance experience
• Minimum of 1-year experience in Wastewater systems
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2-year college degree (preferred)
