Laborer

A General Craft Worker is an entry-level position with the purpose of providing assistance to carpenters, drywall mechanics, concrete finishers, operators, and/or field engineers as needed. General Craft Workers of The Lemoine Company will be assigned a coach who will help them learn all they need to know to become successful. Furthermore, they will be enrolled on The Lemoine Company's Training Program which at the end of three months or more will require them to take skills assessment tests to help decide a career path to take them as far as they want to go in their new career with The Lemoine Company.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong interest in construction and willingness to work hard and learn
• Basic knowledge of construction, usage of a measuring tape, hand tools, and basic power tools
• Must be precise and pay attention to detail; follow a set standard and rules at work
• Have stamina, motivation, and a positive attitude

General Duties: Under direct or limited supervision, must be able to perform tasks as clean up, routine maintenance of equipment, concrete formwork, installation of millwork and doors, the layout of walls, metal stud framing, and perform other duties as assigned by the project superintendent, field engineer or foreman.

Position Requirements

Physical requirements: To perform the essential functions of the job, General Craft Workers must be able to climb, kneel, lift up to 90 pounds, have a good sense of balance, and exert force to move objects constantly.
