Medical Assistant, MA

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant CMA to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to the exam room
• Gather vital data including weight, height, and temperature as needed
• Gather chief complaint information
• Use electronic health records to enter all clinical information for each patient's visit
• Process referrals using online databases and MD Uniform Referrals
• Retrieve lab and imaging reports from online portals as instructed
• Write lab orders as requested by the providers
• Assist the patient and provider in reconciling medications at the time of appointment
• Performing Electrocardiograms (EKG) and Ankle Brachial Index tests (ABI) (Training will be provided if necessary)
• Administer injections to patients as requested by the provider
• Medical data entry using our EMR

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
• Ability and certification to administer injections to patients.
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

We are located at 5505 Ritchie Highway, Suite E, Brooklyn, MD 21225 two doors down from Ritchie Pharmacy.

Operating hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm and employees are expected to work 8:30am -5:30pm with lunches and breaks.

We are currently hiring a full time position. Our desire is to find two candidates that will thrive as full time employees and have a few part time employees on staff.
