Job Description
Join the team at NextGen as a Construction Manager and take on the exciting challenge of overseeing our construction projects. We are looking for a skilled individual with a background in outside plant fiber construction management who can lead a team to success. In this role, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality and safety standards. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, crews, and subcontractors to ensure project execution aligns with plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of construction projects, including crew management, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Coordinate with the team to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications
- Hire and oversee subcontractors and construction workers
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Review project designs and plans, reporting any needed changes to the Project Manager
- Monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments
- Prepare progress reports for stakeholders and clients
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Proven experience as an OSP Fiber Construction Manager with a successful project portfolio
- Knowledge of fiber construction methods, testing, underground and aerial construction
- Experience with Vitruvi construction management software is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
