Overview:

This position leads strategic efforts to optimize the long term profitability and competitiveness of the Bank's products and services. Implements enhancement strategies for associated product lines and directs teams managing the product lifecycle. Manages key performance metrics, develops, and executes pricing strategies to maximize balance sheet growth and profitability within the Bank's risk appetite.

Responsibilities:
  • Product Strategy - Develops and implements strategies for the Bank's products and services (ex. Debit and credit cards, deposit and lending products, transaction products, payments). Ensures alignment with financial goals set by the Board of Directors. Leads teams managing the product lifecycle across product development, delivery, enhancement and retirement. Ensures offerings are competitive, profitable, and appeal to the Bank's client base. Leads development of marketing strategies and collaborates with Bank partners on tactical execution. Develops and implements portfolio pricing and fee strategies to reflect competitive realities and enhance revenue opportunities. Manages the strategy, rationalization, and integration of products from acquired institutions into the Bank's existing operating model. Develops new business models driving new/different sources of revenue. Leads and influences key stakeholder and support groups including Technology, Operations, Treasury, Corporate Finance, Risk, PMO, Compliance, Channels and Marketing in the execution of tactical and strategic initiatives in support of the group financial and service goals.
  • Financial Reporting - Guides team efforts to establish accurate, insightful, and actionable consumer product and card/portfolio performance management metrics. Ensures the consistent reporting of consumer product revenue and trends to executive leadership. Oversees development of budget projections that reflect prudent operational costs without impacting customer service.
  • Risk Management - Manages departmental risks related to product changes, initiatives, and daily operations. Considers the compliance, regulatory, and client impacts of all product management activities. Provides guidance to team managers on balancing potential risk and rewards of proposed initiatives.
  • Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and division goals. Makes appropriate changes to division policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes department achievements by providing professional development and talent learning opportunities.
Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Financial Services to include Strategy leadership OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Financial Services to include Strategy leadership
