Pay rate: $30/hr.

Scientist I key responsibilities:
  • Use wet chemistry lab techniques, using specialty equipment and instrumentation, analyzing data and findings to derive conclusions and create reports.
  • Synthesize polymer particles using established chemistries.
  • Participate in process optimization, development, and scale-ups for routine production.
  • Perform analytical characterization of polymeric particles using specialty equipment and instrumentation (including ion-chromatography, particle sizing, and surface area instruments).
  • Analyze data, derive conclusions, document findings, write SOPs and prepare reports.
  • Present written and oral reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups with R&D and manufacturing divisions.
  • Producing many of the resins that are key to the success of company's Ion Chromatography portfolio.
  • Follow all EH&S safety requirements, participate in safety improvement activities, and carry out to ISO9001 guidelines and corporate quality policy.

Qualified candidates will enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment and will possess the following combination of education and experience:
  • Hands on experience in a chemistry laboratory & wet chemistry
  • Ability to summarize and present experimental results and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • BS or associate degree in chemistry or equivalent work experience
  • Able to lift the weights up to 40 lbs. and meet all physical demands to work in a chemical laboratory
