ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Uses all types of paints, thinners, safety solvents, and performs mixing procedures to specifications to paint units or their components with proper application techniques.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs hydro testing.
Uses proper procedures, material and equipment.
Perform housekeeping and other duties as required.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting 50 lbs. (occasional), Standing (constant), Walking (frequently), Bending (frequently), Climbing (occasional), Crawling (occasional), Reaching (frequently), Grasping (frequently), Sitting (occasional), Judgment (occasional).
Must understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.  Must follow written and oral instructions.  Vision corrected to 20/20 and be able to distinguish different colors correctly.  Handling equipment (frequently).  Identify production line and maintain daily log on all usage of material.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
Manufacturing – Exposure to noise, dirt, dust, cold/heat (indoor), cold/heat (outdoor).  Job hazards of working around heavy equipment and machinery.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Forklift, spray paint equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Two to four years experience with industrial type paint, enamel, zinc, carboline, amerlock, solvents, epoxy and thinners.  Possess knowledge of all hazardous waste, storage documentation and environmental safety practices. Knowledgeable in the preparation of material, mixtures and equipment.  Ability to read measuring devices and perform math at a level normally acquired through the completion of high school.  Ability to maintain clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.  Good hand dexterity required to perform production. As a condition of employment, active participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is required.
