Description:

The RN Clinical Lead will provide leadership to all members of the clinical support staff including but not limited to RN's, LPN's, MA's, X-ray Technicians and Phlebotomists. The RN Clinical Lead will work collaboratively with the Practice Director to support the operations of the clinic and ensure an efficient and effective environment where quality, patient centered care is our mission.


The RN Clinical Lead will:

  • Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information, responding to requests, and participating in team problem-solving methods.
  • Under direct supervision and direction of the practitioner, demonstrate the ability to perform procedures in the office setting.
  • Apply critical thinking skills and consider alternatives in the delivery of patient care.
  • Manage self and resources effectively.
  • Commit to an acceptable level of availability and flexibility within your schedule.
  • Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical staff while offering support and developing their skills.
  • Participate in performance reviews through collaboration with the Practice Director.
  • Monitor both nursing supply inventory and expenditures, and order clinical related supplies.
  • Manage clinical support staff schedules while monitoring volume and PTO.
  • Communicate job expectations, provide ongoing training, and maintain nursing guidelines by upholding policies and procedures with the support of both the Nursing and Practice Director's.
  • Assure a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by interpreting and following infection-control policies and protocols, and by enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
  • Ensure operation of medical equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability, overseeing preventive maintenance requirements, follow manufacturer's instructions, troubleshoot malfunctions, request repairs, maintain equipment inventories, and evaluate new equipment and techniques.
  • Represent North Star Health in a positive, helpful manner. Consistently demonstrate behavior that supports our mission.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Vermont RN License (required)
  • New Hampshire RN License (preferred)
  • 1 year experience in health care leadership (preferred)
  • Flexibility with floating within the North Star Health Clinics as needed for critical staffing needs.
