Patient Scheduler

Description:

Responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner. Answers incoming calls and directs to appropriate personnel. Serves as liaison between patient and medical staff.

*URGENT NEED*

- Obtains and communicates messages in accurate and timely manner

- Schedules new patients and return appointments in computer system in accordance with physician

- Schedules outpatient appointments/testing and hospital admissions upon request. Obtains necessary pre-certification as required

- Maintains primary office scheduling book containing all physician meetings, satellite schedule, rounding and call coverage

- Arranges for patients to have financial counseling when needed

- Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation
