Lab Technician

Job Title: Laboratory Technician Location: Plumsteadville, PA Type of Role: Contract POSITION OVERVIEW: The Global Edge is a global staffing firm connecting projects worldwide with the industry’s most talented project professionals. Our team is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician for our client in the Oil and Gas industry. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Complete incoming inspection and/or chemical analysis of raw materials in accordance with defined procedures and specifications. The results of the evaluation are documented in the appropriate component inspection report. Complete chemical analysis of finished products in accordance with defined procedures and specifications. The results of the evaluation are recorded in the device history record. Ability to identify and properly report out of specification test results. Complete device history record review and release approval of products in accordance with finished product inspection procedures. Complete calibration of laboratory instruments and balances in accordance with defined procedures. Complete visual inspection of product labeling before the issuance of the prepared labels to manufacturing. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies that are required to complete the responsibilities of the position. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Create, review, and approve product certifications. QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS): Education: Associate in Science Degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience Experience and Skills: Gas Chromatography experience preferred.
