Job Title: AWS Architect - Migration Project Specialist Location: Ogden, Utah Onsite Secret Clearance Required Job Description: We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect to lead a migration project aimed at transitioning our organization's infrastructure to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in AWS services, particularly in migration strategies, backup, and recovery solutions. Proficiency in Cohesity, a data management platform, or a similar tool would be a valuable asset for this role. Responsibilities: Develop and execute migration strategies to move on-premises infrastructure and workloads to AWS cloud environments. Architect resilient, scalable, and cost-effective solutions leveraging AWS services to meet project requirements. Design and implement backup and recovery solutions tailored to AWS infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and availability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and project managers to define migration plans and timelines. Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the migration process, resolving technical challenges and optimizing performance. Conduct assessments of existing systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement. Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM to support migration and ongoing operations. Implement security best practices and compliance standards in AWS environments. Document architecture designs, configurations, and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing. Stay updated on emerging AWS technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications: AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are highly desirable. Proven experience architecting and executing large-scale migrations to AWS cloud environments. Strong expertise in backup and recovery solutions, with hands-on experience in implementing and managing backup systems. Proficiency in Cohesity or similar data management platforms is preferred. In-depth understanding of AWS services and capabilities, with practical experience in designing and implementing solutions using AWS technologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments is a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple priorities effectively. Nice-to-Haves: Cohesity product experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
