Position Responsibilities: Must be well versed in both federal and state court procedures and filing requirements, including e-filing in federal courts and state courts. Perform administrative duties, such as calendar hearings, court, and discovery deadlines. Drafting of routine court documents, such as notices of appearance, motions for extension of time, motions for default, and subpoenas. Manage hard copy and electronic case documents, including managing email and electronic files and preparing binders of hard copy documents. Ability to provide internet research including pulling cases from Lexis and Westlaw, as needed. Assist with the general aspects of document productions (redacting, copying, Bates stamping) Cite-check, bluebook, and Shepardize briefs and legal memoranda. Organize, analyze, and index documents and exhibits. Assist with all aspects of deposition preparation. Create and maintain trial exhibit and deposition designation databases; assist with preparation of pre and post-trial briefs. Ability to convey information to individuals at all levels within the firm in a courteous and professional manner; strong service orientation. Organizes and manages litigation cases from inception to trial and appeal including document productions, deposition preparation and trial preparation. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects with changing priorities. Job Requirements: Position Requirements and Desired Skills: Bachelor's degree with ABA paralegal certification or Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal studies, preferred 7 years minimum litigation paralegal experience. Detail oriented with strong proofreading skills. Knowledge and understanding of legal principles and practices Ability to apply understanding and knowledge of the litigation process from pretrial to post-trial. Strong organizational and problem solving skills. Superior interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication across a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys and staff while maintaining high level of work quality and customer service. Ability to travel locally and nationwide as needed. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion. Ability to work moderate to heavy overtime. Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000
