Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role:

This role assists the Director of Housekeeping to manage the Housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to standard. Oversees the staff and activities of the Laundry/Valet Department ensuring that all Rooms and F&B linen, Guest Clothing and Employee Uniforms are cleaned on a timely basis.

What you will do:

• Ability to resolve customer complaints and handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
• The ability to assist in the supervision, discipline, and mentorship of staff and convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale.
• The ability to participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes and ways to increase guest satisfaction and service standards.

What you bring:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience within Rooms Division, preferably within the housekeeping department in a luxury hotel setting.
• Must have working knowledge of computers and systems.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• This role has direct contact with employees and guests and as such good communication skills are a necessity.
• Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States. Prefer bilingual in Spanish.

Schedule & Hours:

• This is a full-time position.
• A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, and the ability to work morning, afternoon and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
