We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to be on our Endpoint Engineering team which uses multi-platform endpoint management to automate solutions, resulting in a more consistent, streamlined, and efficient experience for our employees.
The Role:
- Diagnose and prioritize multiple concurrent technical issues, creating and executing remediation plans with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Independently design, configure, implement, and support a suite of tools tailored to meet the evolving needs of our organization.
- Collaborate effectively with remote teams and leverage high-level guidance to accomplish tasks with precision and autonomy.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems and workstations, utilizing extensive technical knowledge to promptly resolve issues.
- Develop comprehensive documentation detailing the utilization of Endpoint Engineering's systems to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
- Enforce and implement standards that align with stringent security and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate new hardware and software solutions, offering recommendations and overseeing procurement based on organizational requirements.
- Actively participate in system maintenance, ensuring systems remain up-to-date with the latest patches and updates.
- Pursue ongoing technical skill development in systems administration to support our dynamic IT environment effectively.
- Flexibility to work occasional irregular hours when necessary to support critical functions and office maintenance.
Must Haves:
- A strong commitment to continuous learning and an eagerness to acquire new skills.
- Experience with macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience creating automations for endpoint management.
- Familiarity with AWS/Azure Cloud environments.
Nice to Haves:
- Proficiency using Qualys and MDM tools for endpoint management.
- Knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is a valuable asset.
- Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure resources programmatically.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements and responding to audit requests
- Exceptional troubleshooting abilities, capable of addressing complex technical challenges effectively.
- Proven ability to work independently and responsibly without direct supervision, with a demonstrated capacity to prioritize and multitask effectively.
