Job Title: Houseparent(s) - Direct Care in Residential Children's Home (Live-in)

Location: [Hockley] 30 miles NW of Houston

Overview:
Our residential children's home is seeking compassionate and dedicated Houseparent(s) to provide direct care and support to children and youth placed in our facility. The Houseparent(s) will live on-site and be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment for the children in our care.

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily supervision, guidance, and support to children and youth living in the residential home
- Help children with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, hygiene routines, and household chores
- Implement behavior management strategies and promote positive social skills
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each child in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Organize and facilitate recreational activities, outings, and educational opportunities for the children
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the care and progress of each child
- Communicate effectively with families, caseworkers, and other stakeholders involved in the child's care
- Model appropriate behavior and demonstrate empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for the children

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children and youth in a residential or similar setting
- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and best practices in working with at-risk populations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
