RN-PRN-Inpatient

At this time, we are searching for PRN-RN night shift team members capable of working a few shifts per pay period from 6:45 PM - 7:00 AM.

Beacon Behavioral Support Services is one of the largest and most established behavioral health programs in Louisiana. For 25 years, Beacon employs caring staff at locations across southeast Louisiana: Baton Rouge, Metairie, Slidell, Hammond, Bogalusa, Bunkie, Opelousas, and Lutcher. We currently provide inpatient programs and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) that provide therapy to those struggling with emotional disorders, substance abuse, and mental disorders. Over the past 2 years, Beacon has expanded its service line to partner with Psychiatric Private Practices in TX, AR, MS, FL.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR RN IN BUNKIE

Must have Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of operation.
Must have a Bachelor’s, Associate degree or diploma in nursing with documented evidence of educational program focused on treating psychiatric patients.
Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience, 1 year of which was providing nursing care to the mentally ill, OR receive regular documented supervision/consultation from a Master’s prepared psychiatric nurse.
Certification in Basic Life Support required.
Certification in non-violent crisis intervention.
RN must be able to provide backup support to the DON, including but not limited to on call responsibilities some weekdays, nights and/or weekends.
RN should be able to assist with hiring competent clinical team members and assist in providing nursing education.
RN must have experience with initial nursing assessments and discharge planning for mentally ill patients.
Previous management experience a plus.
