The ideal candidate has 2+ years as a Finance Manager in a Manufacturing environment. A strong analysis background for job costing, labor, waste and budgeting is required. This position will oversee another established Financial Analyst.

The ideal candidate is a Senior Financial Analyst ready to take the next step in their career, or a Plant Controller with a strong analytical background with job costing including labor, waste and materials for business cases.

Open to candidates that are local within 50 miles that want to commute into the office a few weeks a month. Or open to paying relocation for a strong candidate looking to move to the area! They also have flexible working hours if needed.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial guidance and support to our company. This is a permanent position that requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in cost accounting, management, and financial analysis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing accounting, job costing, inventory management, and leading financial analysts. Other key areas of responsibility include annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and analyzing manufacturing costs versus actual and labor, raw materials, and waste.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the company to ensure financial stability and profitability.
2. Oversee the preparation and presentation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
3. Lead the financial analysts team, providing direction and support to ensure efficiency and productivity.
4. Manage the manufacturing accounting, job costing, and inventory management processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards and regulations.
5. Conduct detailed financial analysis to interpret data, identify trends, and assess the company's financial performance.
6. Prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives.
7. Analyze manufacturing costs versus actual and labor, raw materials, and waste to identify variances and implement corrective actions.
8. Collaborate with other department heads to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
9. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certification (such as CFA/CPA) is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting.
3. At least 3 years of experience in a management level position.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound financial decisions.
5. Proven experience in manufacturing accounting, job costing, and inventory management.
6. Experience leading another financial analyst.
7. Proficient in calculating business case scenarios for new partnerships with clients.
8. Ability to analyze manufacturing costs versus actual and labor, raw materials, and waste.
9. Strong communication and leadership skills.
10. Proficient in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
12. Experience in an ERP such as SAP, Dynamics or similar.
13. Experience understanding Net Present Value for projects.
