Description:

Harbor Management is seeking a qualified, motivated and experienced Assistant Property Manager for an elderly/affordable housing property in Lynn, MA.


Responsibilities will include:

· Assisting the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property as well as taking on assigned tasks and duties.

· Interviewing residents and applicants to assist Manager prepare initial, annual and interim income recertifications

· Answer telephones and greet visitors; interfacing with residents on a daily basis

· Submitting and tracking of service requests in resident management software

· Accounts Receivable duties including scanning/processing of both tenant and subsidy agency rent checks

· Assisting with any audit review responses

· Perform and oversee the process for all move-ins / outs and transfers

· Send lease violation notices to residents and refer any necessary legal cases to attorney for summary process

· Prepare various quarterly, monthly and annual reports for internal purposes, as well as for housing agencies

· Resolve tenant complaints/disputes and refer to the Resident Service Coordinator when appropriate

· Maintaining resident files and other general management and administrative duties as assigned



Requirements:

Ability to take responsibility for performance of the community, the well-being of residents and the collaborative success of the Team.

Ability to effectively communicate with all members of the organization.

Must be organized, highly detail oriented, able to perform and prioritize multiple projects in a busy office, have effective written and oral communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Prior experience in the affordable housing field is a requirement.

RealPage/OneSite property management software experience is a plus.

Must be experienced in the overall management of the affordable housing programs; Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and HUD's Project Based Section 8.

Must have the desire to bring his/her A-game to work every day.

English/Spanish Bilingual is a must for this role.
