Community Medical & Dental Care, Inc, located in Monsey, NY,  is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician to join our team as a DOT Certified Medical Examiner (CDL Exams). In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our community by conducting physical examinations and certifying the fitness of individuals seeking to obtain or renew their Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDLs).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) guidelines.
  • Review medical history and assess fitness for CDL qualification, considering factors like vision, hearing, physical limitations, and controlled substance use.
  • Issue, renew, or deny CDLs based on examination findings and FMCSA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of all patients.
  • Stay up-to-date on FMCSA regulations and medical standards for CDL qualification.
  • Provide clear and concise communication with patients, explaining the examination process and results.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and administrative staff.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Medicine (DO) or Nurse practitioner (NP)
  • Active license to practice medicine in the state of NY
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Valid DOT Medical Examiner National Registry (MENR) certification.
  • Minimum of 1-2  years of clinical experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Commitment to patient care and upholding the highest safety standards.
