Accounts Payable Specialist

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.



The primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Specialist is:

• Processes payments for all transactions.


• Audits invoices against the purchase order/receiving reports for correct vendor information, items, quantity and price.


• Monitors invoices for correct information; investigates invoice or payment errors.


• Processes credits when applicable.


• Responsible for processing vendor refund or rebate checks.


• Sorts and delivers interdepartmental mail.


• 1099 Processing.


• Other duties as assigned.

An ideal Candidate would have the following qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.


• A minimum of six months experience in clerical accounting.


• Knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting principles.


• High integrity, able to follow procedures.


• Ability to be a self-motivated learner, to take initiative in learning the many complex processes


• Exhibits professionalism at all times, understands appropriate workplace behavior/communications.
