Job Title: Residential Counselor – Evening Shift

Reports to: Residential Director

Our students, in response to their life experiences, can present with a constellation of adaptive mechanisms that have become distressing symptoms. These symptoms often present as self-harm, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, aggression, suicidality, as well as disordered eating. Residential Counselor Summary:
  • Provide supervision and support for youth, including role modeling appropriate behavior/ interactions, redirection and crisis management.
  • Teach and assist youth with life and social skills.
  • Work as a team to support youth and build healthy relationships.
  • Engage students in activities, including arts and crafts, playing games, doing outdoor activities and much more.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High school or GED required
  • College preferred
  • CPR preferred
  • OR the equivalent of 1 years of full-time experience working with children.
  • OR any combination of credits in human services & experience with children that totals 1 years

Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license preferred & 21 + years of age.
  • Authorized to work in the United States (Required).
  • Satisfactory completion of background and applicable pre-employment checks.
