Job Summary
We are seeking skilled welders to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures through the use of welding techniques. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
Hours:
This job requires a flexible schedule as you will be working around business hours. Weekends are required. 40+ hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using stick welding
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to specifications
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Use measuring tools, such as calipers, to ensure precise dimensions
- Operate equipment such as plasma cutters and grinders
- Inspect welds for quality and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
Skills:
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with using calipers for precise measurements
- Experience working with ductwork is a plus
- Proficiency in plasma cutting techniques
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
