Job Description
TITLE: Material Handler
LOCATION: Pontiac, MI
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
FLSA STATUS: Hourly
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
Function: The Material Handler is responsible for the moving and storage of finished goods and raw materials, as well as loading products per customer orders. Will power wash tractors and assist in other parts of production as needed. This person will be reporting to the Production Supervisor and will also follow directions from the Production Manager for daily operations. The position will mainly entail, but not be limited to, the following tasks:
· Remove finished goods or raw materials from or to production lines and place in warehouse or production
· Unloading containers with large or heavy loads
· Feeding and staging production line
· Responsible for maintaining forklift equipment
· Adheres to all work instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices, and housekeeping procedures
· Load/unload trailers
· Power wash tractors as needed after leaving the production floor to prepare for final inspection before shipping out.
· Maintain clean and orderly warehouse
· Responsible for the accuracy of all transactions and product scanning
· Load finished goods for shipment to customers with an industrial truck or material handling device
· Responsible for repairing any damaged units
· Responsible for maintaining ISO standards
· Responsible for reporting safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
· Performs other duties and/or completes training as required by the supervisor.
