Salary:

As the Front of House (FOH) Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dining experience for guests, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction. Your role involves managing the front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders, and coordinating with kitchen staff to provide a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. With a focus on leadership, organization, and customer service, you contribute to the overall success of the restaurant and uphold its reputation for excellence.


**Key Responsibilities:**


  1. **Staff Management:** Supervise and train front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, bartenders, and support staff. Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure high standards of performance and professionalism.


  1. **Scheduling:** Create and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts, taking into account peak dining hours, special events, and staff availability. Monitor labor costs and adjust staffing levels as needed to maximize efficiency and productivity.


  1. **Customer Service:** Set a high standard for customer service and hospitality, leading by example and motivating staff to deliver exceptional service to every guest. Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues and exceed expectations.


  1. **Training and Development:** Conduct ongoing training sessions and workshops to develop staff skills in areas such as customer service, menu knowledge, and upselling techniques. Foster a positive and supportive work environment that encourages learning and growth.


  1. **Inventory Management:** Oversee inventory levels for front-of-house supplies, including glassware, utensils, and cleaning supplies. Monitor usage, place orders as needed, and ensure proper storage and handling to minimize waste and maximize profitability.


  1. **Quality Control:** Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the front-of-house area, including dining areas, restrooms, and service stations. Conduct regular inspections and follow-up to address any issues or deficiencies.


  1. **Sales and Revenue:** Work with management to develop strategies for increasing sales and revenue, including promotions, upselling techniques, and special events. Monitor sales trends and guest feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.


  1. **Safety and Compliance:** Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, sanitation practices, and alcohol service laws. Conduct regular inspections and training sessions to promote a safe and healthy work environment for staff and guests.


  1. **Budget Management:** Assist with budget planning and management for front-of-house operations, including labor costs, supplies, and other expenses. Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures to achieve budgetary goals.


  1. **Communication:** Maintain open and effective communication with kitchen staff, management, and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service. Address any issues or concerns promptly and collaborate with colleagues to find solutions.


**Qualifications:**


- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or similar establishment

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on creating a positive guest experience

- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and health and safety regulations

- Proficiency in computer software and systems used for scheduling, inventory management, and point-of-sale (POS) transactions

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
