If so, we want you on our team as a Clerk for the City of Surrey North Dakota in Surrey ND!/ As Clerk, you will be responsible to help perform both City and Park receptionist duties, bookkeeping, and other necessary clerical tasks.as assigned. You will work under the direction of the City Auditor and build close residential relationship within the community. We are looking for somone with excellent communication skills, has a strong sense of ethics and able to multi-task efficiently. Position:

The City Clerk will assist with answering phones, bookkepping, accounting, and other clerical duties as assigned. The position is open until filled, 40hrs per week, and include a full benefit package: Health, dental, vision, NDPERS retirement, life insurance, vacation, sick, and holiday pay. Wage DOE.

.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform receptionist duties-Answer telephones and provide customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of residential Utility billing.
  • Hall rentals & help clean City buildings.
  • Issue pet licenses.
  • Help update Forms.
  • Park Duties: Main Point of Contact
  1. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, packets, attend, and record minutes.
  2. Accounts receivable-Record receipts.
  3. Accounts payable-Prepare claims, pay bills, and invoicing.
  4. Payroll-Issue paychecks, make IRS payments and submit filings.
  5. Bank Reconciliation.
  6. RV Park scheduling and collection of payments.
  7. T-Ball program/concession setup.
  8. Advertise summer employment/set up interviews.
  9. Prepare for Activities.
  10. Submit Annual State Audit Report.
  11. Annual Budget.
  12. Maintain files.
  • Perform essential duties of the Deputy Auditor in his/her absence.
  • Collaborate with other office staff to assist in the development of priorities, goals, policies, procedures, and objectives. Help implement them into the workplace.
  • Provide Notary Public service (optional)
