POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, you will collaborate directly with our project managers and production supervisors to turn conceptual designs into functional shop drawings used by our production team to manufacture Trade Show exhibits and Architectural Millwork projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create functional 2D and 3D shop drawings that include accurate and clearly labeled measurements, materials, and finish specifications.
  • Follow company CAD guidelines on data storage, directory structure/naming conventions, construction methods, and CAD drawing layout standards.
  • Collaborate and communicate with project managers and shop foreman through all phases of project.
  • Track and report time spent on individual projects.
  • Use critical problem solving to derive solutions from partial design specifications.
  • Work efficiently under pressure to meet project deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Degree, advanced degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architectural or Inventor.
  • Ability to create both 2D and 3D shop drawings.
  • Millwork, Manufacturing, Display, or Exhibit industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Architectural Millwork and Construction Methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A strong collaborative attitude and ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Great organizational skills and high attention to detail.
