Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of carpentry, including framing, roofing, and finishing work. The carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. The carpenter will also be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required. Responsibilities:

- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. - Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment. - Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using hand and power tools. - Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. - Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. - Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level. - Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, or power tools. - Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using hand and power tools. - Maintain records, document actions, and present progress reports. Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent. - Proven experience as a carpenter. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. - Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and procedures. - Ability to use hand and power tools. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
