Site Manager - Aulander, N.C. - $1000 SIGNING BONUS

In this role you will be responsible for managing a team to complete grass cutting at the Aulander Solar Project in North Carolina. This is a 1,000 acre site that will need to be mowed multiple times throughout the year, utilizing a variety of equipment such as riding mowers but also including our proprietary semi-autonomous robotic mowers. You will be responsible for overseeing the mowing of the site for the duration of the growing season. Depending on your hire date, we will have onsite training either in Texas, or at the Aulander Solar Project in North Carolina.

**IMPORTANT: candidates must be willing and able to travel frequently around the US, and stay on sites for up to several weeks at a time.

Contract from March 1 - Oct 31, 2024 with the option to be extended till the end of the growing season as needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing a crew to perform solar vegetation cutting for the growing season
  
• Manage a team, coordinate scheduling, equipment allocation and repairs
  
• As available, grass cutting utilizing company equipment including; robots, riding mowers, & handheld string trimmers
  
• Contract from March 1 - Oct 31, 2024
  
• Hours of work are daylight hours
  
• Potential for evening shifts and weekends if needed
  
• Loading and unloading of trailers and trucks
  
• Site to site travel within the US and site stays
  

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience supervising/managing a team
• Experience with equipment repair and maintenance
• High school diploma and/or post-secondary degree as an asset
  
• Valid driver's license + clean driving history
  
• Commercial driving license as an asset
  
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions including freezing temperatures, snow, heat, humidity, rain and muddy/ swampy conditions
  
• Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods
  
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently
  
• Ability to work in the AM and PM, including on weekends
  
• Ability to live away from home base for several weeks at a time (housing provided)
