Description:
Part-time (40-80 hr./month.) Contract Administrator position performs various contracting support activities for DoD prime and subcontracts.
  • Incoming/Updating/Archiving Contract File System with professional organization and configuration management standards.
  • Bi-weekly and monthly status summary/rollup spreadsheets.
  • Monthly Status Reports
  • Monthly Spend Plans
  • CDRL collection, formatting and filing
  • Serve as a liaison with IT, Security, Accounting and Pricing departments.
  • Contract/specifications interpretation and comprehension of change orders. This position will also monitor the contract's performance and submit reports and recommendations to management.
  • Review contracts and Task Orders. Prepare and submit contract-pricing actions, work item estimated costs, and other required reports and correspondence.
  • Maintain daily dialogue with company and customer activities to address and resolve contract matters. Review, administer and negotiate change orders with customers.
  • Monitor cost performance and billings for Programs as assigned.
  • Provide functional expertise to Management for the Programs being supported. Initiate recommendations to management to improve performance.
  • Preference given to qualified HUBZone resident living within 20 mi of Wallops Island, VA.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience or AA/HS Diploma and 10 years of relevant working experience.
  • DoD contracts and/or DOD Project Management experience
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR.
  • Critical attention to detail with financial acumen.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with the following types of Contracts: Firm-Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Reimbursement (CPFF/CPAF/CPIF) and Hybrid
  • Contract administration of Task Orders
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Pro
  • Strong/Expert proficiency with MS Excel
